This year we have achieved so much on behalf of St John’s, our total fundraising amount from September 2017- July 2018 was an amazing £3000 which has been spent on much needed ICT equipment including IPads and a PA System for school. None of this could have been possible without your continued help and support, thank you all.
We are now looking ahead to the new school year, welcoming new children, parents, staff and lots of new ideas! We strive to move forward so please get in touch with any ideas for projects that could benefit school, as well as suggestions for fundraising.
Join the fun!
At St John’s we are a small but active Friends of School (FOS), working together with the school to provide fund raising activities and social functions. FOS raises significant amounts of money each year for the school, funding resources which provide a wider and richer experience for the children. All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. All parents are automatically members of FOS when their child joins the school, but the committee particularly welcomes new parents who would like to lend a hand at future events. If you wish to get in touch with FOS, please contact the school office.
It’s your FOS…
You are vital to the success of the school
Schools are becoming more and more dependent on FOS / PTAs for funds
It’s TOTALLY flexible!
There are a variety of small ways you can help and be involved -from designing a poster, to helping out on a stall…giving up just 30 minutes of your time is invaluable.
You’ll feel more connected
Have your say and make new fundraising suggestions
You’ll be part of a great network
Every FOS event is an opportunity to meet other parents
Make a difference
Use whatever skills you have to support our wonderful school and community
Be a role model
Your children will see you playing an active part in making their education more varied, showing good teamwork and community spirit
We’re not just for mums!
It’s important to FOS, our school and pupils to have dads, grandparents and carers represented.
What FOS does affects children, parents and teachers
Your voice matters- FOS is made up of people who represent you, your ideas and involvement can help improve the quality of education for all the children at our school.
